Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk

A great outdoor walkway (and pier) that is filled with great restaurants to choose from. A fun early evening spot to walk around and then head to dinner. Most places have fantastic outdoor dining and nice happy hour specials too!

Wicked Tuna

Our favorite place in the Myrtle Beach area for sushi (especially on happy hour). Would recommend you dine in the main restaurant (vs their “shed”) for a fuller restaurant experience - but hard to go wrong!

Dead Dog Saloon

Great Southern food here with something for everyone on the menu. If you’re looking for a filling meal and beer, it’s a great spot to dine. Would recommend you try the hushpuppies as an appetizer - best ones we found living in the area.

TPC Myrtle Beach

If you’re going to play one round of golf in the area, I’d recommend you play TPC Myrtle Beach. Admittedly, it’s a little pricy - but it’s a great course that generally comes with alligator sightings! Plus, pretty cool to play a TPC course…

Harrellson’s Seafood Market

If you’re staying somewhere with a kitchen and want to cook up some great, local seafood - highly recommend a stop at Harrellson’s. They have a wide range of fresh-caught seafood, but I’d steer you towards the scallops if you want something really great!

Huntington Beach State Park

Probably our #1 recommendation in the state! The best way to get some beach time (it’s worth the price of admission) without the crowds of Myrtle Beach. Aside from gorgeous beachfront, there’s some historical buildings to tour and it’s great fun to walk the causeway to see wildlife.

Broadway at the Beach

If you want a fun afternoon of shopping, dining, and activities at an outdoor “mall”, this is a great option. Filled with cute little shops (although somewhat tourist-y) and decent restaurants - easy way to enjoy a nice day.

WonderWorks

Half science museum, half entertainment spot - Wonderworks is a cool stop within Broadway at the Beach. Cool exhibits, experiences, and optical illusions - it’s a good option, albeit a little pricy. At the very least, cool to take a picture with the upside-down building in the background.

Ripley’s Aquarium

A really cool aquarium filled with fish and learning. Not exactly the Atlanta Aquarium or anything - but if you’re wanting a fun indoor activity, this is a great way to spend about half a day.

Conch Cafe

A great spot if you want a meal with a view. One of our favorite spots in all of Myrtle Beach to bring out of town guests because of the direct view of the beach/ocean. While the food is fine, you’re going for the view not the food - just saying.

Conway Riverwalk

A little outside of Myrtle Beach, Conway is a neat little small town that you probably drive though without noticing - but it’s worth noticing. Take a stop to enjoy the Riverwalk and grab a bite to eat in town.

Rivertown Bistro

If you do stop in Conway, go park in-town and walk over to Rivertown Bistro. This restaurant has great food and a cool atmosphere - make sure to order the noodle cake (you’re welcome)!
