If You’re Not Helping Others Up, You’re Letting Them Down.
Why we have an obligation to help those around us.
We live and work in a world where we have the responsibility to make the people around us better. Whether this is through formal mentoring relationships or the informal helping of coworkers and colleagues, we have an obligation to share our skills and knowledge to help others improve.
Accepting this responsibility and acting on it, however, are two different things. Let’s challenge each other to improve those around us and collectively raise the bar. In doing so, we will make people better, make things better, and make our organizations better.
Not doing so, lets those around us down. Failing to help others leaves them without the skills we could have helped them improve, without the connections we could have helped them make, and without unlocking the potential we could have helped them achieve.
Thanks for spending time with me in my workshop,
