The Myth of 100%

Why 100% isn’t real.

Very few things, if any, happen all the time.

Your most digitally-engaged followers don't see 100% of your social media content. Perhaps they stepped away from social platforms for a bit. Perhaps the algorithm pushed your content down.

Your highest quality names don't open 100% of your emails. Perhaps they deleted your email by accident. Perhaps it simply got buried in their inbox because you sent the email on a day with higher-than-usual email volume.

Your most loyal customers don't buy your brand 100% of the time. Perhaps your product was out of stock or unavailable. Perhaps they were trying a different brand on the recommendation of a friend.

The key is to not fall victim to the myth of 100%. Because, after all, very few things, if any, happen all the time.

Instead, the aim should be to focus on getting closer to 100%. Focus on incremental improvement over time.

Improve your social engagement, yes. Improve your open rate, yes. Improve your share of wallet, yes.

But don't aim for 100% - it's a myth.

Thanks for spending time with me in my workshop,

Eric
